Meet The Staff
Family Dental Care

Family Dental Care

Regular dental examinations and hygiene treatment help to maintain vibrant, healthy smiles.  Our experienced clinical staff are able to provide you with care for your entire family, at every age and stage of life.  This includes thorough examinations, radiographs when needed, oral hygiene services, oral cancer screenings, and a wide variety of general dental services including preventative, restorative, and cosmetic options.  We endeavour to catch any potential problems as early as possible by looking for changes in your dental and periodontal health, and to communicate these findings and all treatment options as clearly and thoughtfully as possible.

Children

At Strachan Corner Dental, we support the recommendation of the Canadian Dental Association regarding the "assessment of infants, by a dentist, within six months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age".  Our goal is to see children before any possible dental problems can arise.  We encourage parents to book appointments for their little ones accordingly and look forward to helping children appreciate good oral health, and learn the skills needed to reach this goal.  With regular dental care and good oral hygiene practices at home, it is possible to reach adulthood without a single cavity!

Teenagers

Teenagers can be susceptible to gum disease and tooth decay problems, especially if they have inadequate oral hygiene habits, coupled with a poor diet.  At Strachan Corner Dental, we believe teenagers are perfectly capable of taking care of their teeth, and we teach the importance of lifelong personal and professional care. If your teenager or child participates in contact sports, wearing a custom-made mouthguard can help

prevent serious tooth and mouth injuries.  We would be happy to make a comfortable mouthguard to help protect your child from any avoidable problems.

Adults

Brushing, flossing and regular professional dental care are the building blocks behind a healthy mouth and an appealing smile.  Dr. Mark and the Strachan Corner Dental team are here to help you maintain your unique smile.  Whether helping to support optimal oral hygiene during pregnancy, educating parents on the proper care of their baby's gums and first teeth, whitening teeth before a special occasion, or providing regular hygiene care and the required restorations for a comfortable and beautiful dentition, we are here for you.

Seniors

Dr. Mark and his dental team want you to maintain healthy teeth and gums throughout your entire life. Regular dental examinations and excellent oral hygiene are important factors in maintaining not just your smile, but your overall health.  Gum disease has been linked to systemic and inflammatory conditions including cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and cancers.  During your regular examination and hygiene appointment we monitor the health of your gum tissue, screen for signs of oral cancer, and address any further dental concerns.

Kids' Games

Colgate Kids World provides fun and educational games for kids to play while learning about good oral care.  Enjoy!
